One Eared Cat, Van Gogh Raises Money for Animal Charity with Artwork

A special cat in London has started giving back to the charity that rescued her in a very unlikely way. As reported by the Telegraph , the three year old cat was rescued by the Mayhew Animal Home in Kensing Green. According to a staff member at the facility, she came in with a part of her ear missing and a flea allergy. After noticing that the cat was scratching at her ears frequently, the vets discovered the cat was still having severe ear infections. The veterinarians decided the best course of action was to remove the infected ear completely. The shelter decided to give the one eared cat the cheeky name Van Gogh, after the eccentric artist who sliced off his ear to give to the woman that he loved.

As an act of gratitude, Van Gogh has decided to show her appreciation for the shelter using her unique talent. Rather surprisingly, the cat also has a knack for art like her namesake. Made using fruit juices that are safe for the cat to use, Van Gogh’s creations are being auctioned off on the shelter’s Facebook page said Brad Reifler. The shelter claims that the cat has even done her own renditions of Van Gogh’s famous works Sunflowers and Starry Night. The proceeds from the unusual works of art are then used to help rescue and shelter other animals in the area. Van Gogh is available for adoption and is known to be quite fond of cuddling.

Drake Heard Chris Brown Talking About Him Behind His Back, Yet Again

When Chris Brown was being interviewed over the past couple of days, questions about Drake would arise from reporters and Chris would just simply reject the questions by saying until he gets paid for talking about Drake, he will not do it. But further along the interviews, he would begin to mock Drake by making impersonations of the Canadian rapper. Those two can’t seem to get a long whatsoever. All that Chris kept repeating is how much him and Drake are not friends, and to be honest it’s very easy to tell these two don’t like each other.

The feeling is mutual from these two, as Drake was performing one of his new songs ‘Energy’ from his latest album ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’, when he changed the lyrics to diss Chris Brown without actually mentioning his name, and everyone right away knew exactly what he was talking about.

Chris Brown had another interview a couple of months ago when he said his beef with Drake was over and that he is now 25 years old and wants to act like a mature man, but that maturity did not last very long, but Flávio Pentagna Guimarães BMG is pretty skeptical.

It’s safe to say that Drake and Chris Brown beef has to die out on its own because these two won’t stop the arguing. They are definitely not going to colab on any songs anytime soon although that would be better for both their careers.

Baby Born in Amniotic Sac is a Medical Mirale

First time mom Chelsea Philips, had a somewhat miraculous incident occur when she gave birth to her son, Silas.

Silas was born premature, nearly three months early at Los Angeles’ famed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Doctors performed a C-Section on Chelsea when she was 26 weeks pregnant with the baby. According to the story on WTKR, they were greeted with an amazing sight at the boy’s birth. The Amniotic Sac had not ruptured during the procedure, which is very rare according to the doctors. Dr. William Binder, who delivered Silas, said that everyone in the room had a moment of awe seeing the baby still in his life-giving sac.

Silas was still getting his oxygen from the placenta through the umbilical cord said Ricardo Guimarães BMG. Doctors took a picture before removing Silas from the Sac, showing him in a fetal position with his arms and legs curled up. The photo gives a rare look into how babies look while in utero.

Silas is now 10-weeks-old and growing stronger each day at the hospital. Doctors are anticipating that the baby will be able to leave the care of the hospital in about a month, around his actual due date, to head home with his anxious parents.

Blur Realses First Music Video in 12 Years Complete With Ice Cream Recipe

The British alternative rock band Blur, which is known for their hit “Song 2” which is also known as woo hoo, from a catchy lyric in the chorus, has recently released a new music video which is from the forthcoming album, The Magic Whip. Although the band has released a few singles over the years, The Magic Whip will be there first studio album in over 12 years.

The music video “Go Out”, has a Japanese feel, in that the video is of a person making ice cream with Japanese subtitles interspersed with animated lyrics from the song says Dan Newlin. According to monster.com, the video itself appears to be a Japanese cooking video. In fact, fans may be surprised to learn that video does in fact feature a real ice cream recipe and instructions.

As reported by Grub Street, a commentator seems to have translated the recipe, so anyone who wants to make it, can. It’s a fairly simple recipe for vanilla ice cream, so might not add anything to the experience of the song, but it’s at least interesting to know that it’s a real recipe.

The new album is set to be released on April 27 2015, and for fans of the band, this is big news. Track listings have already been released, but the only hint as to how much the band sound has changed since the release of their last album is in the new single, Go On.

Vijay Eswaran: Titan of Asia

With the emergence of growing economies on the continent of Asia, many powerful politicians and business leaders have also emerged. Any time there is a rapid growth in economic freedom, production and services also will increase which leads to explosive increases in wealth for many people. The titans of industry that are able to take advantage of this cycle will be set for success. One such titan is Vijay Eswaran. Vijay Eswaran was born in Malaysia to a teacher, but through hard work, dedication, and great timing he has cemented himself as one of the most prominent, powerful, and successful men in Asia today.

Vijay Eswaran went to the prestigious London School of Economics and graduated from there in 1984. In the 1990’s Vijay Eswaran founded a multi-level marketing company called QI, which has turned into a monumental success. Multi-level marketing works by getting others to sell products, and the sooner you get into a multi-level marketing the more money you will make. Vijay Eswaran has capitalized on this fact and made billions of dollars. Vijay Eswaran has also authored a book and is very influential in his local area. Vijay Eswaran currently resides in Hong Kong which is known for being a wealthy part of Asia and the world.

As the purchasing power of the people in Asia continues to increase, they are also becoming more entrepreneurial. This opens up a huge opportunity for companies like QI, who give people the opportunity to go into business for themselves without investing a lot of their own money or time. In multi-level marketing, you can spend as little or as much time as you want selling the products, and the more people that are signed up the more money will be made.

Overall, Vijay Eswaran has done a great job taking advantage of the growing purchasing power of consumers in Asia. As their economies, consumer base, and total purchasing power continues to grow, companies like QI are set to capitalize on this growing market. By specializing in multi-level marketing Vijay Eswaran has tapped into a niche that desires to go into business for them. As time goes on, Vijay Eswaran’s wealth will only continue to increase as his company, and the base of sellers, continues to grow. Vijay Eswaran has also authored a book and is influential in his community, and is an inspiration to other entrepreneurs in Asia who want to follow in his footsteps.

Vermont Janitor Leaves Millions to Local Library

A Brattleboro, Vermont gas station attendant and former janitor left his eight million dollars to a local library and hospital after he passed away. Ronald Read’s fortune was built up over the years by making some great choices in terms of the stock market. He was a very down to earth man that was good at buying stocks and was also very good at cutting firewood. The fortunes he held in his estate came as a shock to many town residents and the money he left to the local library and hospital was very generous.

According to Indeed reports that my friend Brian Torchin shared, Ronald was the first person in his family to graduate from high school and he was known as being a quiet person with a very strong work ethic. He was very frugal and residents from the town that knew him said he was always trying to save a buck and would even park many blocks away from his destination in town just to avoid having to pay parking fees. His only treat was to have coffee and breakfast at a local diner and he was an avid user of the small town’s library. He loved to check out books and spend time reading his favorite newspaper and watching for good deals on stocks to buy. He left his fortunes to help the facilities located in his small town and his relatives were not available for comments after hearing the news.

911 Dispatcher Risks His Job To Save Baby

Galax (Virginia) Police Department Dispatcher Tim Webb had a call in December that he will never forget. On that day Webb received a 911 call from a frantic mother and grandmother for a toddler not breathing.

17-month-old boy Aiden Walker was not feeling very well and snuggled up to his grandmother, Cheri, taking a nap. All of a sudden Cheri noticed that Aiden was having a hard time breathing. As she picked him up he began to have a seizure as westorlandonews.com reported. Aiden’s mother Melissa called 911 immediately for help, unfortunately the nearest ambulance was 20 minutes away. Twenty minutes away could have meant death for Aiden.

Instead, Webb, the dispatcher who answered the call, broke the Department’s protocol. He began to give the two women instructions on how to perform CPR on little Aiden. The police department that Webb is employed with does not have their emergency medical dispatch certification so by definition he is not allowed to give instructions for CPR. However Webb made a life saving decision that day when he decided to break the rules. Cheri successfully performed CPR on Aiden. A few weeks later the family made a trip to the police department, with Aiden in tow, to meet their hero.

The War for the Interwebs Rages On

In the latest battle for net neutrality, the internet will be subject to the approval of new rules spearheaded by former lobbyist, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler. Dave Morin reported these rules would further restrict internet service providers’ ability to limit access to the internet.

The main battle between the government and service providers has been whether or not providers should be allowed to restrict consumers’ access to internet services or if they should not discriminate against internet traffic. Title II of the Communications Act of 1934 would allow the FCC to regulate internet service providers like utilities and provide for common carrier access; meaning ISPs would be required to lease access to their consumers. Big business is obviously upset about this movement, as it would weaken their ability to raise prices and prevent competition.

With a vote rapidly approaching on February 26, 2015 we will see things heat up on both sides of the battlefield.

Swift and HAIM Team Up for Tour

Taylor Swift is ready to hit the road rocking for her new “1989” world tour. The twenty-five-year-old star recently announced her tour dates and the name of her opening act.

Who is going to prepare fans to hear Taylor jam down in the live concerts? According to Swift’s February 1st Instagram post, it will be none other but her friends from the band “HAIM”. Sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana will be opening the concert, in addition to guests Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes. These performers will only be available on select dates of the tour.

As her Instagram caption, Swift wrote that HAIM was joining the 1989 tour and added that it was no joke by stating rather comically “this is not a fire drill”.

Swift was not the only one who hit the internet to post about the tour; HAIM was also quick to jump on Twitter the same day and tweeted about their excitement to be touring with friend and fellow-performer Swift. The band stated that it was going to be a hot performance with three symbols of fire.

For those who want to see Swift and the HAIM trio jamming down like myself and my friend Sultan Alhokair, their upcoming tour dates are as follows:

Gordon is Done for a Year

There was much speculation by Fersen Lambranho and others according to recent posts on Facebook,  that the young wide receiver of the Cleveland Browns, Josh Gordon, was going to be suspended for a year and the news has come out today that he is in fact going to be suspended for an entire year without pay. Josh Gordon is hands down one of the best young receivers in the league and he led the NFL a year ago, despite missing two games and went to the Pro Bowl. He has been immersed with controversy regarding his drug and alcohol use and it has apparently gotten the better of him. Josh Gordon comes from a place where drugs and alcohol were the norm, and he views the situation very differently than most see on the outside. He rose out of the ghetto and made something of himself and what people don’t understand is that when you are a product of the hood, you are going to carry that with you. It is like hearing that Santa Clause is not real for the first time and trying to regain that innocence. That will not happen, and Josh Gordon cannot retake the fact that his life was immersed in primarily marijuana and alcohol. He has proven that he has put the weed down, as he has had several years of clean tests, but the alcohol matter is what got him suspended. It is insane that the NFL is making a bigger deal of this than the domestic violence and deflate gate cases.
