Recently, ClassDojo, a parent teacher communication app that is growing in popularity, closed its Series B round of funding for technology that will connect teachers and parents efficiently. The app also helps educators to track and inform parents of students’ activities and behavioral development.
ClassDojo allows teachers to communicate with parents and guardians throughout the day and during the entire school year. This means parents won’t be caught off guard when meeting with teachers face to face for the traditional parent teacher conference that takes place once a semester.
ClassDojo cofounders Liam Don and Sam Chaudhary confirmed that they are using the funds raised to expand their team and to determine the features and content that will make ClassDojo even more useful to parents who use the app to reinforce academic concepts at home. Chaudhary stated that the objective of ClassDojo is to assist parents in enhancing the learning experience at home, which will improve student performance in the classroom.
Educators can also use ClassDojo to create an activity schedule to send to parents daily.
The app can even be used to take and send videos and photos of students, so parents can see their child’s accomplishments in real time.
